Mapoesie
Mapoésie is a Parisian lifestyle designer brand, recognised for a dreamlike world and a graphic, colourful identity. Working between art and design, founder Elsa Poux blends tradition, ancestral know-how and modernity to create collections that feel like an invitation to travel. The brand’s story began in accessories, expanded into home and decoration, and now includes ready-to-wear. Produced in limited series since 2010, the patterns are reinvented each season, with a strong preference for natural materials including cotton, silk and wool.
Craftmanship
• Screen printing (serigraphy) – layered colour printing, one screen per colour
• Weaving – mechanical and hand weaving
• Embroidery – hand, machine or semi-manual techniques
• Crochet – often in natural fibres such as raffia or cotton
• Jamdani – traditional loom technique with motifs formed stitch by stitch
